NASHVILLE – The Titans vs Steelers game originally scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4 now has a new date – Sunday, October 25.
The Week 7 game will kick off at noon CDT at Nissan Stadium, and it will be televised by CBS.
All tickets purchased will be valid for the rescheduled date.
The NFL made the announcement on Friday, just a few days after announcing the game would not be played in Week 4 “to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel” following a number of positive COVID-19 tests on the Titans.
The Titans facility currently remains closed.
The Titans are scheduled to return to action to October 11 against the Buffalo Bills at Nissan Stadium, followed by an October 18 game against the Houston Texans at Nissan Stadium.
Following a bye this weekend, the Titans, currently 3-0, are scheduled to play 13 straight games to close out the 2020 regular season.
Titans Coach Mike Vrabel said his club will be ready for the challenge.
“What we’re focused on as a team right now is using the these next few days like we would a normal Bye Week, to mentally and physically prepare ourselves for a push for the rest of the season, that’s what I explained to the team,” Vrabel said. “I was part of a team in 2001 that after the 9/11 incident, played 14 straight games and won the Super Bowl that year. So, however many we have to play in a row, that’s what we will prepare for. But our singular focus is on the next week, which would be Buffalo.”
