NASHVILLE – Nashville Soccer Club and the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help strengthen the local Hispanic business community, will join forces to raise funds in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The club will release a special edition patch displaying the message, “Todos Unidos” (Everyone Together) that fans and supporters may purchase through Friday, Oct. 16 at www.nashvillesc.com or by clicking here. The message “Todos Unidos” embraces a yellow rose symbolizing friendship and the collectivism and cooperation so engraved within the Hispanic culture, while the Nashville SC sound waves celebrate the richness and fullness of the diverse music styles and the talented artists that have crossed borders and captivated people across the world.
All proceeds from the purchase of the patch will benefit the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which helps to create access to higher education and entrepreneurial opportunities for youth and adult Hispanic populations in Tennessee.
“We are extremely proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize the many individuals, businesses and organizations within the Hispanic community that call Nashville home,” said Nashville SC Senior Director of Community Engagement Brandon Hill. “Our beautiful game continues to bridge the gap between all races, nations, and cultures. Hispanic Heritage Month provides a great opportunity to show our commitment to highlighting the diversity of our communities and to amplify the message of unity which is central to Soccer for All, Major League Soccer’s platform to advance diversity and inclusion.”
In addition to raising funds for the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the patch project also hopes to provide a boost to local Hispanic businesses. Fans will be able to access discount offers at local participating Hispanic Chamber businesses by presenting the patch at checkout. “We are very thankful to Nashville SC for being intentional at empowering our Hispanic community and culture,” said Yuri Cunza, President & CEO of the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “Through this effort, soccer fans can celebrate a unifying sport and at the same time support minority entrepreneurs, proving once again that Music City is not only ‘Soccer City’ but ‘One City for All People’.”
