NASHVILLE — Nashville Soccer Club returns to action on Tuesday, taking on FC Dallas at Nissan Stadium (7:30 p.m., CT).
Coming into its 18th league fixture, Nashville has a 5W-6L-6D record. The club is coming off an impressive 3-1 road victory against the Houston Dynamo on Oct. 14 that catapulted Nashville above the playoff line into ninth place with 21 points, two matches in hand on teams positioned sixth through eighth in the Eastern Conference.
Since returning to play on Aug. 12, Nashville SC is unbeaten at Nissan Stadium, owning a 3W-0L-3D record. In those six matches Nashville has outscored its opponents 8-4, and has allowed a goal or less in five of the six matches.
This past Thursday, Nashville SC midfielder Hany Mukhtar was voted the Major League Soccer Player of the Week. The club’s first Designated Player became the first Nashville SC member to receive this recognition.
Mukhtar scored two goals to help Nashville defeat Houston. He leads Nashville with three goals this season and also has three assists.
